I really love this quote. I was trying to comment on your acceptance post from your xanga page, but it just brings me over to this site...so here I am. Acceptance. I agree with what you were saying. I do think that we can "lean into" our pain and be changed through it. It's just so difficult because we are programmed to avoid all things unpleasant or painful...at least I am.
Sorry about the redirect, Riss. I'm not sure why it does that...not sure if anyone else has had that trouble with my xanga...weird. Thanks for your comments, though! I think I've learned a lot in the past year about finding the joy of growth in my own difficult circumstance. However, as I questioned on xanga, I don't know how I would do in some other situation. I would like to hope that I would be able to accept with grace and "lean into" it as you said.
