We lost our little Charlie Thomas this week. He really was the sweetest and best hamster I have ever known. He brought our children so much joy in the 2 1/2 years we had him. We'll really miss the little guy.
Hey Ruthie, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. How are the kids? I remember when I was around Sophie's age I lost my pet goose. I was devistated. He was my pal. Have a beautiful and blessed day! Olivia
Thanks everyone...Sam and Sophie both shed some heartfelt tears the morning that we found him...curled up asleep in his cage. We knew it was coming, though so we had been preparing them for it. He was probably close to three years old and he was showing his age and had been struggling with his eyes and other ailments. I was actually relieved to see the little sweetheart no longer in pain. Now he's a free spirit and can scitter here and there and everywhere (:
Hi, my name is Ruthie. If you know me already, you already knew my name. For everyone else, just call me Ruthie. I won't flatter myself by saying that I am someone in whom you will find an exhaustive source of wisdom, but I can safely say that I like to think and I love to write. I love language, poetry, art, music, nature--all those things that so vividly display the potential for genius and beauty in us creatures and even more, our Creator. I love to sit still on my front porch early in the morning as the colors in the East are just glowing faintly over the houses and trees on our street. And I love a hot cup of Earl Grey. I love a really smooth red pen. And the feeling of having at least one true friend. But I am passionate about 4 tow-headed children and absolutely crazy in love with their Papa. So, there you go...simply put. I hope you come back to read more and would love to read any comments. Enjoy
