I really love this quote. I was trying to comment on your acceptance post from your xanga page, but it just brings me over to this site...so here I am. Acceptance. I agree with what you were saying. I do think that we can "lean into" our pain and be changed through it. It's just so difficult because we are programmed to avoid all things unpleasant or painful...at least I am.
Sorry about the redirect, Riss. I'm not sure why it does that...not sure if anyone else has had that trouble with my xanga...weird. Thanks for your comments, though! I think I've learned a lot in the past year about finding the joy of growth in my own difficult circumstance. However, as I questioned on xanga, I don't know how I would do in some other situation. I would like to hope that I would be able to accept with grace and "lean into" it as you said.
Hi, my name is Ruthie. If you know me already, you already knew my name. For everyone else, just call me Ruthie. I won't flatter myself by saying that I am someone in whom you will find an exhaustive source of wisdom, but I can safely say that I like to think and I love to write. I love language, poetry, art, music, nature--all those things that so vividly display the potential for genius and beauty in us creatures and even more, our Creator. I love to sit still on my front porch early in the morning as the colors in the East are just glowing faintly over the houses and trees on our street. And I love a hot cup of Earl Grey. I love a really smooth red pen. And the feeling of having at least one true friend. But I am passionate about 4 tow-headed children and absolutely crazy in love with their Papa. So, there you go...simply put. I hope you come back to read more and would love to read any comments. Enjoy
